Our Conception:

Reaching Our Neighbors, Serving New England, Touching the World for Christ! The Purpose for the church is summarized in

Ephesians 4:7-13,

"But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ...

for the perfecting of the saints,
for the work of the ministry,
for the edifying of the body,
till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."

Such maturity includes evangelistic fervor and commitment to reach the lost for Christ as outlined in the Great Commission.

Our Characteristics:

A Baptist congregation- Grace Baptist Church holds to the historic fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith as found in the Holy Bible.

The Bible is our creed and by it we judge all other creeds.

A belief that every member is a minister. Because the Scripture teaches that each Christian has been given spiritual gifts in order to serve the Lord and His people, we strive to help every member to discover, develop and use their gift in ministry.

An emphasis upon personal responsibility for spiritual decisions without creating a legalistic atmosphere. A commitment to major on the major issues, and minor on the minor issues. This is reflected in the ancient motto: " In essentials unity, in non-essentials diversity, in all things charity".

A striving for excellence in every area of ministry.

A balanced ministry divided into five major divisions: Worship, Discipleship and Evangelism, Christian Education, Caring and Fellowship, Missions.

Our Course:

Worship
To create an atmosphere of celebration and awe where God's people may gather to hear God's Word proclaimed and to express their praise and wonder at the grace and mercy of God.

Discipleship and Evangelism
To nurture each believer so that he or she grows into Christlikeness and learns to share the gospel in the normal course of life

Christian Education
To provide a caring and stimulating environment where each child, youth and adult will have been encouraged to study God's Word and apply truth.

Caring and Fellowship
To foster a welcoming atmosphere of love and joy in which each seeker and believer may experience Christ's presence and Christians reach to assist those iin need. .

Missions & Outreach
To nurture, train and send out our people in cooperation with others of like faith to help reach our region and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ
